An aluminum charge pipe for second-generation B58 engines. The charge pipe carries compressed air from the turbocharger outlet to the throttle body. BMW moulds the factory piece from plastic, and on the B58 it is the part that gives up first once boost pressure goes above stock — usually by splitting, or by letting go at the coupler, under full throttle in a high gear.
Replacing it with a mandrel-bent aluminum tube and properly clamped couplers removes that failure point. It is not a power part on its own: flow through the factory pipe is perfectly adequate at stock boost. What it buys is the ability to run a tune without wondering whether the pipe will survive it, which is why it is worth fitting before the tune rather than after.
This is a Gen 2 part. No tune is required to fit it, no emissions equipment is affected, and it ships to all 50 states.
This fitment list is still being confirmed. Check with us before ordering — send your chassis code, engine code and build date through fitment help.

Check the fitment table on the product page: it lists the chassis codes, engine codes and model years the part is sold for. If your car is not on it, or the page says the list is still being confirmed, message us with your chassis code, engine code and build date before ordering. A VIN makes it quicker still.
Every product page answers this directly. As a rule, downpipes need a tune and intakes, charge pipes and cooler guards do not. A downpipe on the factory calibration leaves the engine expecting a catalyst that is no longer there, which sets a check engine light and can put the car into reduced power.
It means the part removes or alters emissions equipment. It is not legal for sale or use on pollution-controlled motor vehicles and it is not CARB certified. Fitting one to a car driven on public roads is the owner's decision and the owner's responsibility. We do not ship these parts to California.

Orders ship from South Florida to all 50 states. Handling and transit times are on the shipping page. Oversized parts move as freight rather than parcel and cannot be delivered to a PO box; where that applies the product page says so and the surcharge appears in the cart before you pay.
