A front mount intake for second-generation B58 engines. Instead of leaving the filter in the engine bay to breathe warmed air, a front mount system moves the inlet to the front of the car, ahead of the radiator, where air is coolest and moving fastest.
Fitting one means taking the front of the car apart, so it is a longer job than a drop-in filter or a heat-shielded box. In return it draws the coldest air available to the engine, which matters most in exactly the conditions where a turbocharged engine struggles: hot weather and repeated full-throttle runs.
This is a Gen 2 part. The B58 generations are not interchangeable, so confirm which one your car has before ordering. No tune is required, no emissions equipment is affected, and it ships to all 50 states.

A downpipe on the factory calibration leaves the engine expecting a catalyst that is no longer there, which sets a check engine light and can put the car into reduced power.
It means the part removes or alters emissions equipment. It is not legal for sale or use on pollution-controlled motor vehicles and it is not CARB certified. Fitting one to a car driven on public roads is the owner's decision and the owner's responsibility. We do not ship these parts to California.
